Nobody wants to change schools their senior year, so I could have felt bad for the guy. He showed up earlier this year, a senior at a new school. I keep watching Jason and think I’d like to wipe his blood all over me. He doesn’t look up at me, but I keep watching as we hurry from the scene of the crime.

Jason rolls onto his side in the dirt and wipes at the split skin below his right eye. They yell about catching Jason’s “gay disease,” named by some mad scientists a couple years back in ‘82. Instead, coward that I am, my boys keep going until they see blood. I think I should tell them to stop-scream it even. Timmy shoves him over and joins him in the dirt.
Vince punches him again, and this time Jason lands on his knees in his perfectly pressed school uniform. Jason barely makes a noise, just calls me a “son of a bitch” over Vince’s shoulder. I taste blood in my mouth as I wipe my lip and watch. Lucky I have my pals with me to pull him back, so by the time I stand up, Vince and Timmy are thrashing on Jason like they want to break his ribs one at a time. I’ve been in a couple fights, but Jason Kemp can hit hard, and as I eat dirt, I wonder how many fights he’s been in. He even throws the first punch, which I think is out of character for the rich bitch star of our high school track team, headed to Yale come fall. I must admit I never watched GLEE until the second season and now i can't get enough of it.I don’t know how he figured it was me who told the school he had AIDS, but he found out-and finds me under the bleachers, smoking a cigarette. For instance when a teenager thinks about saying a smart remark when things doesn't go their way, they actually can remember how Jaime Pressly felt and it actually may make them appreciate all that their mom does for them even more(hopefully).Anyway,I hope that FOX brings the show back and gives it some time, add even more jokes, some srios moments, and go from there. The show also could teach teenagers like myself. I think honestly the show shows the type of relationships some mothers have with their daughters, ways to fix it, while keeping it funny and engaging. However, I also think the show is good because some of these things happen in real life sometimes especially with girls at the teenage age trying to dress like a 21 year old and giving back smart remarks. And I would know this because I'm a teenage girl myself. My mother,my grandma, and I couldn't tune in every Wednesday to watch it but we did watch it on demand and absolutely laughed the whole time. I'm sure everything that happens in Family Guy isn't real. The shows main job is to be funny not to necessarily say all the things on the show happens in real families. I think the show is pretty good and that people shouldn't take the show so personal. One Twitter user was already anticipating the program's demise: “‘I Hate My Teenage Daughter’ debuts on Wednesday on Fox and will be cancelled on Thursday.”ĭid you tune in for the pilot? What do you think of “Teenage Daughter”?

“It’s a shame, because a better-executed 'Teenage Daughter' could have been the kind of funny, outrageously rude family sitcom Fox built its brand on, rather than a tired and slightly depressing mess,” a Time Magazine TV critic wrote.

… They weren’t ‘funny.’ These girls are the kinds of characters that turn off adolescent viewers and who make adults watching the true haters.”Īnd while reviewers agree that the concept is there for “Teenage Daughter,” nobody seems to have much faith that the series can turn it around. They get an F as queen bees.”Īnd Entertainment Weekly’s Ken Tucker agrees: “The daughters, played by Kristi Lauren and Aisha Dee, were interchangeable ciphers. “When you compare them with the kids on ‘Modern Family’ and ‘Suburgatory,’ you can see they bring very little to the table. “The rest of the cast is limited, particularly the bland actresses who play the daughters,” a Boston Globe reviewer wrote. While Jaime Pressly and Katie Finneran have at least been recognized as “skilled comic actors” attempting to carry a one-note sitcom, reviewers aren’t cutting the actresses who play their daughters any slack. Fox’s new sitcom “I Hate My Teenage Daughter” premiered with respectable ratings after “The X Factor” on Wednesday night.Ībout 6.8 million people tuned in to watch the multicamera comedy about the disconnect between moms and their – you guessed it – teenage daughters.īut, despite a decent turnout, the show isn’t resonating with critics.
