Bispham skull was very cleverly using humour to update an ancient Peruvian/lancashirian folk narrative on the subject of synchronicity & coincidence, using the beloved music group `Hanoi rocks` as a canvas for the usurping of symbolism in modern language (Freud was the first to notice this phenomenon). I believe it was humour but I'm just trying to make sure. Um- can someone translate that last post for me. Pity that he got her up the spout and then sodded off back to the Arctic Circle without so much as a bye your leave. Bit odd that isn't it, we called him Sammy Jaffa after that, Oh how we laughed of an evening whilst toasting our Mackerel and Chestnuts over an open fire. Munched his way through a whole packet of Jaffa cakes would you believe. My sister went out with Sammy Yaffa and when he came round for his tea he was a very nice boy. Hey, where´s the Twelve Shots On The Rocks? <-Great comeback album! Also live album coming soon. Million Miles Away is so good ballad, byhyy Boulevard of Broken Dreams did came from a poster of James Dean and it´s one of my favourite tunes in this album.
Suck on that you Trixter posers!!Ĭlassic as you guys already said. Great quality production and outragous vocals. Remember, one man's disgust is another one pleasure ? Nice HANOI ROCKS album by the way, probably their most commercial sounding courtesy by that Bob Ezrin production.Īh what a great CD. Nice if you think otherwise, but for me ? Oh NO NO NO !!!įreddy, you said it well : it's only a matter of personnal tastes. Avoid O/1O ! Sorry, but these are my feelings to Hanoi Rocks ! I only can be honest about it. Is this music ? One of the very worst bans EVER ! Rubbisch like I've never heard before. If you like the band, this is a must have. It stands out from their other stuff, but not in a bad way. The songs are more polished and chorus heavy than their earlier works. This album was obviously made with the American market in mind. Listen close to the lyrics to 'Underwater World' if you are a G'n'R fan. Some solid tracks ('Can't Get It', 'High School', 'Cutting Corners'), and novelty songs ('Boiler'), but I would have left the pointless CCR cover off. Listened to it recently and it's held up surprisingly well. There was a time in 1985 when I thought this album was the greatest thing to come along in years. The all time best band period. If it wasnt for vince neil this band would still be alive probably. They started it all GLAM, POP PUNKeven things we would like to forget they invented.guns and roses main influance. Solid album nonetheless.Īndy McCoy The best songwriter in R & R this album have some new(-84)and some really old redone songs like quit highschool now Highscool but damned this album is good w songs like Blvd Of Broken Dreams, Underwater World, Million Miles Away, an many more. The lame remake of 'Don't you (n)ever leave me' is a low point. A little more polished than the others (which does hurt the overall effect). One of the greatest albums ever!! True classic!!!ĭidn't like this one as much as Oriental Beat or Bangkok Shocks. They are the band that spawned Guns 'n Roses, remember them? Faster Pussycat? And all that came after them. No doubt Ezrin had something to do with that.
Hanoi rocks tracks from a broken dreams cracked#

This is the definitive Hanoi Rocks album. During the tour of America to support the album, Razzle was killed while a passenger in Vince Neil's (Motley Crue) car. This was there first worldwide release and sadly, their last studio album.
